Every Friday, our Art Across The City hub has workshops from ‘the Glitterationists International‘. The Swansea based duo invite you to explore your imagination to create artworks of invader plants. native plants or hybrid plants using collage, text and watercolour.

Today’s workshop has included some beautifully created poems, from the cut outs of plant/gardening magazines which have resulted in some very creative and powerful poems.

The scarlet pimpernel is easily found.

Despite d’Ortzi’s poem otherwise

Its common in the abandoned places

Has spreading limbs and tiny size.

 

It’s oft forgot but there is one yellow

Cousin to the scarlet

The same in every way

Except its less a harlot’
