Bristow Lloyd is a collaborative project between Lisa Bristow and Christian Lloyd, working together since 1990. Lisa was born in Leeds and Christian was born in Swansea, both now live in Slaithwaite, UK.
Are You Who You Think You Are?, 2010, Bristow Lloyd
Bristow Lloyd focuses on work that can tell stories, bring people together or prompt a conversation with an audience. Often using forms of small-scale and DIY public communication such as hand-rendered signage, booklets or pamphlets printed by hand on their Adana Letterpress, the work aims to playfully examine how we socially construct the day-to-day world around us. Projects have explored self-help guides, local histories, shopping, manifestos and the construction of household rules.
The Local History Shed, 2010, Bristow Lloyd
