The artist, Graham Dolphin, has designed an artwork to be made from a collection of ‘wild west’ style signs that say the word ‘SWANSEA‘. The public are asked to paint ‘SWANSEA‘ onto a wooden board in a variety of colours and sizes of their choice. Each sign will then be fixed to a series of signposts in the city. The signs will be arranged to point to the various other ‘Swanseas’ across the world making a colourful and bold artwork that shows how our city has connections across the globe.
We are accepting signs from everyone who would like to participate, you will simply need to make a basic wooden template that is maximum 80cm long and 30cm high. Paint your sign in a ‘wild west’ style each with the word ‘SWANSEA’ on it, once complete you can deliver them to the reception at the National Waterfront Museum, Swansea (Opposite LC2). (Open daily: 10am-5pm) 029 2057 3600
The closing date is: Friday 27th February.
Good Luck!
