Gwyrosydd Primary School Workshops
I was very pleased to find out that several of the children had taken their own time to visit the Locws exhibition and other sculptures in Swansea after our initial tour. Phoebe had visited the park to see ‘Dylan’s Pencil’ and Nikita had taken her parents to town to carry out their own tour of the art across the city.
Back at school we decided to make an 8×4 collage of Locws 2012 using lots of materials that the teachers had provided. At the halfway stage of our production Leanne said, ‘Wow that is awesome’. This was a very positive reaction to the work.
The LSA and teacher gave their full support throughout the project and this enabled the workshops to be both exciting and productive. The 8’ x 4’ collage with Locws signage, worked really well and we are all looking forward to seeing this in a prime spot situated in the foyer of the school. The class were very enthusiastic, interested and well mannered during the session and produced some great artwork.
